一 | (ECNS) -- Chinese commercial space company GalaxySpace on Tuesday completed the development, launch, and on-orbit delivery of a complete satellite for Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA). It marks the first time that a Chinese commercial space company has exported a complete satellite to a Southeast Asian country. At 11:21 am on Tuesday, a Long March-6C carrier rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in North China's Shanxi Province, successfully sending seven satellites into their preset orbits. Among them, three of the satellites were developed by GalaxySpace, including the Lingzhi-09 Thailand CubeSat. The Lingzhi-09 Thailand CubeSat satellite is designed to collect remote sensing data for Thailand’s land, agriculture, and ecology, while also supporting practical aerospace education at local universities. Phee Choosri, executive chairman of GISTDA, praised the partnership as a significant step for China-Thailand space cooperation, fostering crucial exchange of aerospace knowledge. GalaxySpace intends to use this opportunity to offer its technologies to more countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
